Verse of the Day:
“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord
and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.”
~ Jer 17:7-8
Quote of the Day:
“We mustn’t doubt in the darkness what God has shown us in the light.
We mustn’t collapse when faced with adversity.
Following God’s will isn’t a matter of unveiling, but unfolding.
The One who knows the faraway future reveals each close-at-hand step as needed.”
~from “Red Sea Rules” by Robert J. Morgan – needed this today. Got it from a great friend.

Verse of the Day:

“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”
~Jer 31:3
Quotes from session 4 – Steven Furtick (Lead Pastor, Elevation Church):
Audacious Faith – 2 Kings 3:9-20
“Only God can make it rain – We can do everything we can do to prepare….but only He can send the rain.”
“I can’t expect God’s blessing on my work unless I do it God’s way.”
“How are we going to get from inspiration to implementation? If all you have are some good ideas does not make you a visionary. It makes you a daydreamer. The difference between a vision and a day dream is the audacity to act and the faith to get started.”
“If the size of the vision is not intimidating to you there’s a good chance it’s insulting to God.” **Fav quote from the whole conference.
“I may not have all the resources right now, but I have exceeding promises in God’s word.”
“When the vision God has put inside you doesn’t match with what you see, close your eyes and keep going.”
“If we want to see the land filled with water then start digging ditches.”
I can say fairly confident that he was in my top 3 favorite presenters in the two days.

~Jer 23:5

Verse of the Day:
“But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord
or speak in his name,
his word burns in my heart like a fire.
It’s like a fire in my bones!
I am worn out trying to hold it in!
I can’t do it!”
~Jer. 20:9
Quote of the Day:
“America has never been united by blood or birth or soil. We are bound by ideals that move us beyond our backgrounds, lift us above our interests and teach us what it means to be citizens. Every child must be taught these principles. Every citizen must uphold them. And every immigrant, by embracing these ideals, makes our country more, not less, American.”

~Jer 16:19
Oh, to have the heart of Jeremiah (especially when you put it in context, he said this after 16 chapters of an intense discussion with the Lord saying he was going to take out most of the Isrealites – Jeremiah’s people)
Quote of the Day:
“And the experience I have in the smallest grasp of Christ’s grace and sacrifice is a mystery I spend many days and will spend many days in the future trying to even begin to comprehend the fullness of my appreciation of it, my need to live up to its standard and reciprocate the gift. So it’s really difficult for me to persist in just one avenue of language when, to me, the faith journey is hopefully encompassing us in our full measure.”

These are not real gods at all!’ ”
~Acts 4:31

Lyrics of the Day:
“I guess I thought that I had figured You out
I knew all the stories and I learned to talk about
How You were mighty to save
